Supply Chain Lead – DeKalb, IL

Forge Resources Group is seeking a Supply Chain Lead in our DeKalb, IL corporate office.

The Supply Chain Lead is responsible for the management of tooling and manufacturing order planning. This individual will support both internal tool/die shop, and production plant activity, building shipping plans and reporting on key performance indicators in said areas. This position requires a team player with experience in planning or purchasing, desiring to support multiple plant activities and assist in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping Plan Management
• Manufacturing Order creation and oversight
• ERP/ MRP task functionality to support production needs
• Creating purchase orders for outside vendors and monitoring their progress
• Supplier Management
• Consistent reporting to support interdepartmental requests
• Coordinating general production operation activity with tooling and plant activity to support customer needs
• Occasional travel to production sites and vendors

Position Qualifications/ Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong in project management
• Strong Team leader
• 3-5 years of planning or purchasing experience expected
• Supplier Management experience required
• Undergraduate degree in business, supply chain or comparable field required
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• ERP/MRP/CRM system experience required
