Customer Service Representative – Dekalb

Forge Resources Group, a premier metal processing solution provider, is looking for a Customer Service Representative at our DeKalb, IL corporate office.

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for maintaining relationships with assigned customers as well as internal departments within the company. We are seeking a driven individual who wants to continuously develop and grow with our organization. A successful Customer Service Representative would have an opportunity to be promoted internally as their capabilities expand over time. This individual will strive to improve our capabilities in meeting increased customer demand from our growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with customers, outside sales representatives, and manufacturing teams
  • Learn the life cycle of new and repeat orders
  • Provide quotes for new and existing components
  • Input data into multiple software platforms for CRM and ERP
  • Offer production updates for customer orders and provide other key information per customer request
  • Consistently deliver excellent customer service in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Coachable with a desire to learn and develop within our company
  • Optimistic and driven
  • Strong listening skills and detail-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Background in sales and/or customer service preferred
